People Movement: DoT transfers Kishore Babu to North East LSA

Kishore Babu, working as a deputy director general - R&D, Innovation & Standards at the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has been transferred to North-East LSA, according to a department's notification.

Besides Babu, 28 other Indian Telecommunication Services (ITS) Group A officers have been relocated with 'immediate effect' after the approval of competent authority, the office order dated June 21 said.

Prior to previous posting, Babu was overseeing the department's policy initiatives and assisting the telecom secretary and the minister's office.Those who were shifted includes Alok Jaimal, DDG (FA) at Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC), a technical body functional under the telecom department.

Babu, a telecom professional with more than a three-decade long experience represented the department at various forums, and is one of the prolific speakers, and worked closely with technology providers, standardization bodies, international and national telecom service providers.

He holds a post graduate diploma in Public Policy and Management from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore.
