Top Bihar police officers get President's Police Medal
Senior IPS officers Amit Kumar and Sunil Kumar Jha have been selected for the President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service
Senior IPS officers Amit Kumar and Sunil Kumar Jha, along with havaldar Uday Ram of 14th battalion of Bihar Military Police (BMP) have been selected for the President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service.
Amit is ADG, law and order and Sunil is ADG, vigilance investigation bureau. Besides these three, seven others from Bihar have been selected for Police Medal for Gallantry and ten for Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
Those chosen for Police Medal for Gallantry include assistant sub-inspector Vivek Kumar and sub-inspectors Amrendra Kishore, Baijnath Kumar, Devraj Indra, Santosh Kumar Singh, Rupak Ranjan Singh and Pankaj Anand.

ADG (headquarters) Jitendra Kumar issued the list of awardees from the state in the three categories and congratulated them on behalf of state police.
Police officers and personnel are selected for four categories of medals from state police and paramilitary forces across the country.
