Centre names TN IPS officers Deepak Damor, Pradip Kumar as joint directors in CBI

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Thursday cleared the appointment of Tamil Nadu cadre IPS officers Deepak M. Damor and Pradip Kumar as joint directors in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

According to an order issued by the Department of personnel, Damor a 2001-batch IPS officer and Kumar a 2003-batch IPS officer shall be inducted to the post of joint directors in the CBI on lateral shift basis.

Induction of Damor and Kumar, “to the post of joint directors in the CBI on lateral shift basis from Border Security Force (BSF) for a combined tenure of five years, i.e. up to June 28, 2027,” the DoPT notification said.
